Nothing Shines Like Aluminum Shines!
Airstream’s Jackson Center, Ohio Service Center to Offer the EasyStart™ 364 Air Conditioning Solution
Allentown, New Jersey, April 11, 2019 - What’s round on the ends and ‘hi’gh in the middle? Ohio! What’s round on the ends and shiny in the middle? An Airstream!
Jackson Center, Ohio is the home of the Airstream manufacturing facility where the world’s iconic riveted aluminum RVs are made. The elegant silver brand that began in the 1930s continues to churn out some of the most classic RVs on the road. Famous for its aircraft inspiration, trailer owners range from millennials to middle America Moms and Pops and the rich and famous. Jay Leno’s Garage TV show featured a 2013 Airstream. The Ohio Factory hosts one of the “Aluma” series of Airstream rallies --- Alumpalooza --- which runs every May after Memorial Day.
Micro-Air announced today its EasyStart™ 364 dealer relationship with the Airstream Service Center at the factory. Starting immediately, the innovative A/C solution will be available for installation on Airstream trailers. Micro-Air President Andy Spaziani said, “Beginning with the consumers who adopted us, then the RV Industry with the RVIA’s first ever RISE Award nomination, and now the service center of a leading manufacturer, I would say we have earned our stripes.”
The EasyStart™ 364 is the electronic soft starter that enables the freedom to start any RV rooftop air conditioning on low power sources like 2000W generators, inverters and solar systems, and even two AC units on 30-amp shore power. It also gently ramps the start of A/C and protects the compressor from the wear and tear of the slamming on of traditional air conditioning. The power reducing starter also works to reduce power current in starting the heat in rooftop AC units.
“This partnership is a real vote of confidence in not only the product, but also our family, the team of people at the Company,” said Spaziani. The EasyStart™ was and remains completely conceptualized, designed, manufactured and tested in New Jersey. The American-made EasyStart™ was one of only five products selected from among 70 nominees by a blue-ribbon panel of judges as the 2019 Aftermarket Product of the Year at the RVIA’s ‘Show RVX’ RISE Awards. It was the only product related to air conditioning.
The RISE Award was created to highlight the hard work and contributions of individuals and organizations making a difference throughout the industry. The other finalists manufacture products used for water purification, heating, trailer jacking, and trailer brake control. “We were proud to secure the industry’s recognition for ingenuity, innovation and for our high standards of supplier excellence in design, manufacturing, testing and customer support, said Spaziani.
Drawn from Wally Byam’s Creed, the idea behind including the EasyStart™ as an Airstream choice is that it permits the RVer “to travel with all of the comforts of home.” At this writing the Airstream Factory Service Center’s executives are busy making plans for the Alumapalooza Rally at the factory and considering how to integrate EasyStart™ sales and installations at the week-long event. The rally begins Tuesday, May 28.
